Dr. Mohammed Salem Alwaqdani is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Curriculum and Teaching Methods Department at Umm Al-Qura University. He specializes in artificial intelligence in education, digital learning, and smart learning environments. He earned his Ph.D. from Newcastle University and holds an MA in Learning, Technology, and Education from the University of Nottingham.
His research interests include AI applications in education, multilingual digital learning, and flipped learning, with a particular focus on teacher development, adaptive learning environments, and technology-enhanced instructional strategies. His work explores the integration of AI-driven tools in educational settings to enhance learning outcomes, support multilingual education, and optimize digital teaching methodologies.
Dr. Alwaqdani has published in peer-reviewed journals, including Education and Information Technologies and the Journal of Education and Human Sciences. His research contributes to a deeper understanding of AI’s role in digital education and its potential to enhance language learning experiences and teacher training.
