Dr Dinara Dauyen

Dr. Dinara Dauyen is an Associate Professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University. She holds a Ph.D. in Oriental Studies, with a specialization in Chinese politics and modernization, awarded for her dissertation on the role of the ruling party in China's development.
Dr. Dauyen has over 15 years of experience in Chinese studies and international relations. She has held leadership roles including Head of the Chinese Studies Department at KazNU and Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages. She has completed academic internships at Harvard University, New York University, and Fudan University, and has participated in numerous professional development programs in China.
She is the Chair of the Association of Sinologists of Kazakhstan and one of the organizers of the First Central Asian Forum on Chinese Studies. She actively contributes to educational quality assurance processes in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Dr. Dauyen is the co-author of the book “Modernization of China and Kazakhstan” and author of over 50 academic publications, including works indexed in Scopus. Her research interests include China’s domestic and foreign policy, socio-economic development in China and Asian countries, language, education policy, and Kazakhstan–China relations.
She speaks in Kazakh, Russian, English, and Chinese, and has basic knowledge of Turkish, Korean and French.
